About Jessica
Jessica G. Purdy is an Associate Lecturer in Early Modern History at Manchester Metropolitan University. She successfully defended her PhD thesis, 'Parish Libraries and their Readers in Early Modern England, 1558-1709' in July 2021. Her research interests revolve around the Tudor and Stuart periods and focus on the history of the book and reading and the history of women in power.
