Abstract

Higginbotham attempts to fill what she perceives is a gap in the history of the Woodville family, which has gpreviously only concentrated on a few indivividual family members. Her main aim is to exonerate the family from its reputation as 'England's most infamous family' and to correct the myths which have flourished through historical fiction.
